Peter Brierley - Cheshire

11-04-2015

Peter has worked hard to turn his rural home into an example of what renewable energy can achieve. Before peter contacted us, he had already installed a solar PV system across his house a garage, which helps power his home and the two air to air heat pumps that he has installed. Looking to find a renewable source of heating his water, solar thermal was the logical choice for Peter.Peter’s existing heating system for his water included a gas fired boiler and a wood fired stove with a back burner. When Peter contacted us, his brief was to try and supplant his boiler altogether for his hot water supply, using his wood fired burner as the secondary heat source. Peter chose Solfex CPC INOX tubes for his installation because of their excellent year-round performance.Peter was delighted with the installation and despite some difficulty getting the larger twin coil hot water cylinder up his narrow staircase we managed it in the end. Now with two renewable heating sources, Peter tells us he is looking to get rid of his boiler altogether and use the large storage tank to power his radiators as well.
