The National Ice Centre was officially opened in April 2000 and the venue was given the royal seal of approval during a visit by HM the Queen on July 31 2002. Project overviewEvoEnergy completed the installation of a 249.6kWp PV system comprising of 1040 Trina 240kWp panels on a curved Calzip roof structure, covering the Ice arena section of the roof.We were able accommodate schedules of work to fit around public events taking place at the arena. This was a bespoke project that involved a mixture of day and night work to accommodate the required schedule of works, liaising with external contractors and suppliers due to G59 units and witness testing carried out on site.Connection shutdowns were carried without incident and the installation ran smoothly without disruption to the day to day running of the site.
