Special Belt Backings

TransDev timing belts can be modified by adding backings, which allows for a wide range of designs for conveying applications. These backings can have specific properties such as high or low coefficient of friction, softness, hardness, or compressibility. Having a thick backing can affect flexibility and minimum pulley diameter, but slotting the backing can improve flexibility. Our backing materials can be bonded to any base belt and used as conveyor belts, haul-off belts, puller belts, forming belts, and nesting belts. Haul off/puller belts are commonly used in the plastics and cable industries for pulling extruded profiles. Currently, we can process belts up to 90 meters in length and 600mm in width.
